Divorce and Financial Settlement

This includes applying for a Divorce application and dealing with the process through the portal on behalf of the Client. I can assist with Service and any other additional issues that can arise in Divorce proceedings. I can represent clients in dealing with settlement of financial matters whether this is agreed or has to be negotiated between solicitors. I can even represent Clients in Court proceedings when an agreement cannot be reached.

Cohabitation and Separation for Unmarried Couples

When faced with cohabitation and Separation, with an increase of cohabiting couples, it is important to have legal advice about your rights and entitlements before moving in so that there are no issues upon separation. When couples separate they may wish to put together an agreement to set out the terms of separation including financial matters. I am able to prepare the agreements for cohabitation and separation.

Children Act Proceedings

I can assist in reaching an agreement for spending time with children following a separation. This can be either in writing, through mediation or court proceedings, if there is a dispute. I can deal with cases where there has been abuse, neglect, issues with drugs/alcohol or police involvement. I can act for parents, grandparents or other family members who need to apply for an order relating to a child.

Domestic Abuse

I can support you through your separation where Domestic abuse features. I have represented clients who live in refuges or have had to flee their home to a different city. I can represent Clients in Court proceedings for a Non-Molestation order and Occupation order. If there is a chance that you may be eligible for Legal Aid, I can direct you towards the most appropriate Solicitor who can support you. I can also represent Respondents who wish to defend a Non-Molestation or Occupation order.

Resolution was founded in 1982 by a group of family lawyers who believed that a non-confrontational approach to family law issues would produce better outcomes for separating families and their children.
