My name is Poonam Chudasama and I am a Family Law Solicitor.
I started the My Family Law website to provide helpful, knowledgeable and experienced legal advice to families that need it.
I have been practising Family law since 2008 as a Paralegal, then since 2012 as a fully qualified Solicitor.
I have worked in Leicester and Leicestershire throughout my career and have dealt with cases throughout the Midlands.
I have experience in all types of Family Law including Divorce and Finance, Separation and Cohabitation, Child Matters and Domestic Abuse cases.

Divorce
To carry out an official divorce it must be recognised by UK law. You are aligable to apply for a divorce after a minimum of one year of marriage.
Cohabitation
Unmarried couples cohabiting is not uncommon, it is inevitable that sometimes it doesn’t work out. Poonam has years of experience dealing with cohabitation disputes.
Child Orders
Child arrangement orders are applied for as a court order. A child arrangement order replaces 'residence orders' and 'contact orders' as one entire court order.
